DLP 3 printing technology was used to create the unique design on the rear of the speaker, also used to create the unique surface pattern and texture of the device.
The "Birds Nest" design was created with Rhino and Grasshopper
The surface and overall shape was modelled in Rhino 3dm and then the manufacturing and assembly details were added in fusion 360.
Grasshopper codes
Some of the Grasshopper codes that were used to create this parametric "birds nest" design and surface texture.
2 of the codes were used for the two seperate sections of the design, and the third was an excursive in Grasshopper that didn't allow for the desired outcome.

Port
The shape of the Port was inspired from a motorcycle expansion chamber for the ideal air movement and back pressure, the form was also modelled of a turbine for air movement efficiency. The shape was designed to create the maximum in bass response without mudding the bass while also creating clean mids.
